The renovation of Abbotsford House, home of Sir Walter Scott and the opening of a new Visitor Centre on site was one of the most important recent events for the Scottish arts, heritage and tourism sectors. Bremner design was retained to provide a new brand identity and a design range of related marketing requirements.
The Brand Identity included Guidelines on how the Brand could be applied to all applications including website, guide book, signage, branded clothing and retail items. Two further original but related new Brand Identities were created for the new Hope Scott Wing Accommodation within the House and the Ochiltree Restaurant within the new Visitor Centre
Bremner Design created a typeface based on the hand writing of Sir Walter Scott to be used in conjunction with the chosen typefaces, ie Gill Sans and Whitman.
